Anza Borrego Desert State Park is the largest state park in California, covering over 600,000 acres of diverse desert landscapes. The park is home to a variety of plants and animals, including the elusive big horn sheep that the park is named for.
On this hike, we will trek through the scenic Palm Canyon Oasis, a lush oasis of palm trees surrounded by towering rock formations. This hidden gem offers a peaceful and serene escape from the desert heat.

How do I join?

How much does it cost?
There is no fee for the hike. However, there is a $10 park day usage fee payable at the campground entrance upon arrival.
How strenuous is the hike?
The trail is approximately 3 miles in length and is considered easy to moderately difficult. Some scrambling may be required. The group will travel at a slower pace, and our experienced group facilitators will ensure that no one is left behind.
What should I bring?
We recommend you dress in layers in comfortable hiking attire with sturdy footwear. We also recommend you bring a hat, sunscreen, water (at least 1 liter for every two hours), and snacks.
Are pets allowed?
Per park rules no pets are allowed on this trail.
