Hiking Adventure: King’s Chair Loop in Oak Mountain State Park

August 17 @ 8:00 am 11:00 am

Attention all outdoor enthusiasts, adventure seekers, and nature lovers! Black People Doing Stuff Outside (BPDSO) is excited to invite you to join us for an unforgettable hiking adventure at Oak Mountain State Park, where we will be exploring the breathtaking Kings Chair Loop. This scenic trail is renowned for its lush and beautiful landscape, featuring stunning views of rolling hills, towering trees, and pristine streams.

Named after a large rock formation that resembles a regal throne, the Kings Chair Loop holds a special place in the history of the park. Legend has it that this landmark was once used by the area’s indigenous peoples as a meeting place for tribal leaders, making it a symbol of strength and unity.

So bring your friends, family, camera, and hiking gear, and join us as we explore the natural beauty and rich heritage of this hidden gem in north central Alabama.

Hope to see you there!
